September 24, 2018

Dear Families,
Children’s Lighthouse Childcare & Learning Center was established in April 2008 out of the love, care, and education for children. Over the past ten and a half years, we have seen children grow and flourish and client’s have become friends. As with everything in life, change is inevitable. It is a bittersweet feeling writing this letter. As of Friday, September 28th 2018, Children’s Lighthouse will become Little Bear’s Adventure Center.

This was a difficult and emotional decision to make, and eventually inevitable due to our future retirement plans, but we feel the timing is right. The new owner, Diana Gentile and I crossed paths earlier this year and it seemed to be a fateful encounter. She is where I was ten years ago when I opened Children’s Lighthouse. She has three children, all of whom have been in childcare and has had a dream to create a center environment that encompasses unique learning experiences and offers customized learning support to children.

Over the next month to two months, I will continue to be a regular presence at the center to help the new owner, Diana, and families, adjust and seamlessly transition to the new ownership. I will continue to be a consultant to Little Bear’s Adventure Center through September of next year. Friday, 9/28 between 3p-6p, the new owner/operator Diana and I will be onsite to meet with you and answer any questions or concerns you may have.

I truly love and appreciate the relationships I have made with all of you over the past decade, and have truly enjoyed being able to care for and love your children. I hope to stay in touch with everyone! As always, feel free to reach out to me with questions regarding this transition.

With gratitude,

The environment is loving, secure, and home-like. Its purpose is to provide professional childcare and early childhood education. The Center strives to increase your child’s skills through a planned and on-going curriculum, developmentally appropriate for the age of the child. We provide opportunities for your child to develop and mature at his or her own pace, especially in the areas of self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-respect.
